Pre-Placement Investigations
If you are in need of a pre-placement investigation prior to a child being placed in your home, I am happy to help!
This process includes a home safety check, background checks, interviews, and other key information required by the state to be completed prior to the child being placed in the home.
The cost of this portion of the home study process is $600.
This step is later followed by the post-placement investigation that is needed after the child is placed in the home before the adoption can be finalized.

Post-Placement Investigation
Post Placement Investigations are typically the last step in the home study process and occurs after the child has been placed in your home.
If I have completed your pre-placement investigation and this is a continuation and completion stage of the home study process, the cost is $400.00.
If you have not completed a pre-placement investigation, but the child is in your home, the post placement investigation must incorporate all information required by the state for a pre-placement and post placement investigation. This occurs over the course of two home visits. The total cost is $1,000.

Relative Placement Adoption
Relative placement adoption home studies are completed for grandparents, aunts and uncles, step-parents, and adult siblings seeking to adopt their loved one.
These home studies must also incorporate a home safety check, back ground checks, interviews, and a few other key details mandated by the state.
Relative Placement Adoption Home studies can be completed for $650.00

More information
All other expenses related to the cost of completing a home study, including but not limited to background checks and medical screenings are not included in the cost of the home study. All costs are the responsibility of the client/ the family.
The timeliness of the home study being completed largely depends on the amount of time it takes for me to receive background check results and all other supporting documents required. This means that the individual/family can greatly impact the speediness or any delays in the completion of a home study depending on the time it takes for the completion of requested steps in the process.
